Buzz Rickson's Denim

Buzz Rickson’s was established in 1993 by Toyo Enterprise, the company behind Sugar Cane, as a label for reproductions of U.S. military clothing. It recreates garments from the 1940s to the 1960s by analyzing vintage samples, matching thread colors, commissioning custom fabric, buttons, and thread, and dyeing only with period-accurate methods. Its denim includes 1930s U.S. Army work trousers in a dense, fine-yarn military denim with “U.S. ARMY” buttons and a cinch back, made in Japan. The brand is best known for its flight jackets, including the MA-1 and A-2.
