Brand
Coherence Denim
Founded in 2015 by Kentaro Nakagomi, a textile and pattern-making veteran who previously ran design and European production for a British-Japanese brand, Cohérence is designed in Tokyo and made in Japan. Its fabrics are developed in-house, and its garments are cut and finished in small batches. The brand is known for coats and jackets named after 20th-century figures such as Le Corbusier, Camus, and Picasso. Its Paul trousers, cut from 10oz logger selvedge denim, take their cue from the work trousers Jackson Pollock wore while painting.
