Gråbrodern is a Swedish brand whose name means “gray brother,” or a friar dressed in gray, and also refers to a neighborhood in Visby on the island of Gotland. Its clothing is designed in Sweden and made in Japan. The brand combines modern Japanese interpretations of American workwear with traditional Baltic workwear. Its jeans include a 14.5oz Japanese selvedge kasuri denim with a heavily slubbed, irregular face, washed after sewing.
