Brand
Jelado Denim
Established on June 3, 2005, by Yohei Goto, the Tokyo brand Jelado grew out of its founder’s work as a vintage clothing dealer, where he studied and took apart old workwear to understand how it was made. The brand mainly uses Japanese-made materials, working with Japanese fabric mills and manufacturers, and its denims are woven on shuttle looms. It is known for reproducing and reinterpreting American garments from roughly the 1930s to the 1970s, including denim developed from analysis of deadstock 1950s jeans.
