Kaptain Sunshine Denim
Founded in 2013 by designer Shinsuke Kojima, a former editor of Huge magazine, Kaptain Sunshine started as a clothing label within a Japanese fabric mill. Kojima works directly with long-established Japanese mills to weave proprietary materials, including fine long-staple cottons and dense double-cloth weaves, and the clothing is made in Japan. The brand draws on vintage American field, military, and naval clothing, with dyes and finishes chosen to age well and develop a personal patina.
