Maru Sankaku Peke is run by Studio D'Artisan International, the company behind Studio D'Artisan, and began with the autumn/winter 2020 season. Its name, the Japanese marks ○△× (circle, triangle, cross), stands for free ideas, since the symbols mean different things in different places. The label takes classic, universal garments and adds the damage, texture, and character of handwork, drawing on Japanese techniques such as boro, sashiko, sakiori, and pieced patchwork made with Japanese craftsmen. Its clothes are made in Japan.
