Setto was created in 2014 by Japan Blue, a textile manufacturer in Kojima, Okayama, that supplies fabric to brands in Japan and abroad. The brand treats the development of materials as part of design, drawing on its parent company’s experience in textile planning, with close attention to threads, fabrics, colors, and shapes. Setto takes a pared-back approach with ties to gardening and the outdoors, and its pieces include lightweight denim with a neppy, streaky texture.
