Brave Star Selvage was established in 2005, when it began by exclusively showcasing selvedge denim from Cone Mills. The company was relaunched in 2012, resumed production in 2013, and describes itself as the first premium, all-selvedge brand made in the USA. Its jeans are cut, sewn, and finished in Los Angeles, using denim from Japan and, when available, deadstock fabric from American mills such as Cone Mills. The brand is known for raw selvedge denim in a range of heavier weights.
