About Indigofera

Indigofera is a Swedish brand founded by Mats Andersson and Johan Söderlund, who began working on it in 2007 and shipped its first products in spring 2009. Its design process often starts with the fabric: most of its cloth comes from Japan, where the Nihon Menpu mill has produced custom denims and flannels for the brand since its early days, and its garments are sewn in Portugal. Indigofera is known for proprietary denims such as the black Gunpowder, along with denim overshirts and wool blankets made in Norway.
