About MATiAS
MATiAS is a Los Angeles label founded by Matias Sandoval, who studied ceramics and worked in conceptual art and branding before turning to clothing. Production happens almost entirely in-house at its Los Angeles workshop, where Sandoval still cuts many pieces himself, using fabrics from mills such as Candiani in Italy along with proprietary cloths. Sandoval calls the style Avant-Garde Workwear, and the brand experiments with finishes such as sandblasting, hand sanding, and tie-dyeing.
