About Samurai Jeans

Founded in Osaka in 1997 by Toru Nogami, Samurai Jeans is known for heavyweight selvedge denim, with fabrics ranging from 15oz to 25oz. The brand pays close attention to cotton quality, climate, and dyeing methods, works with vintage machinery, and grows some of its own cotton in Hyogo Prefecture through its Samurai Cotton Farm project. Its jeans carry details such as iron buttons and silver lamé selvedge, along with imagery drawn from Sengoku-era samurai, and the S510XX remains one of its best-known models.
