About Devoa

DEVOA is the label of designer Daisuke Nishida, a native of Sasebo in Nagasaki Prefecture whose grandfather ran a tailor shop there. Nishida founded the brand in 2005, after working as a sports instructor and in apparel retail, and it became official when it first held showrooms for autumn/winter 2008. Its patterns are three-dimensional, built around ideas from sports medicine and body balance, and the brand gives close attention to dyeing, interlining, and sewing.
