About THE UNION / THE BLUEST OVERALLS
THE UNION is an Osaka collective of makers led by Kohei Makita, who earlier ran the brand MOTIVE, and is made up of several labels whose names begin with “THE.” Its collections combine American workwear with a Japanese old-school interpretation. THE BLUEST OVERALLS is its denim line, named for “the bluest blue,” built on classic designs meant to stay unchanged and be worn for years. Its jeans are made in Japan, including the JABA Denim in 12oz selvedge with a back pocket inspired by the layered structure of the kimono.
